In 1991, Pablo made a pivotal decision that would forever change the course of his life. He joined the ranks of the UGOCP (Unión General Obrera Campesina Popular), a Mexican peasant organization committed to improving the quality of life, employment opportunities, and social development in rural areas across Mexico. He took on a vital role as part of the organization's management support team, channeling his energy and dedication into uplifting his community.

He became one of the founding members of Ejido El Tarachi, located within the Alvarado lagoon system in Veracruz, a designated RAMSAR site of international importance. His commitment to preserving this vital ecosystem marked the beginning of his extraordinary journey as a community hero.

Pablo's expertise in environmental matters caught the attention of legislators and policymakers. He served as a consultant and speaker on environmental topics before the Mexican Chamber of Deputies, the Federal Senators, and the COP 2013, among others. He initiated and led projects in collaboration with non-profit organizations and government agencies, leaving a lasting impact on the region's ecological balance.

His dedication extended to numerous projects managed by prestigious organizations and government bodies, including the Secretaría del Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales (SEMARNAT), Comisión Nacional Forestal (CONAFOR), Instituto Nacional de Ecología y Cambio Climático (INECC), and the Government of the State of Veracruz.

Pablo's commitment to environmental preservation went beyond words. With the unwavering support of his fellow ejidatarios, he planted over 600,000 mangrove plants across 350 hectares, turning their shared vision of a flourishing ecosystem into a reality.
